Tom Zaucha is the General Partner of the Zaucha Family, LP, which owns and manages Walter Stanley Realty (Commercial Real Estate) and Crimson Hawk Rentals (IUP Student Housing)
After graduating from Slippery Rock University with a bachelor’s degree and the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Physical Therapy, Tom came to Indiana in 1969 to take the position of Director of Physical Therapy at Indiana Hospital. In 1979 he founded Keystone Rehabilitation Systems, a private out-patient physical therapy company.
For almost his entire career, he was CEO of Keystone Rehabilitation Systems, one of the largest Physical Therapy Companies in Pennsylvania at the time. In 1995, Keystone merged with Northstar Health Services where Zaucha served as Chairman and CEO. In 2000, Northstar Health Services sold to Benchmark Medical Services where he became a Partner.
In addition to Real Estate Business, Tom Zaucha operates the American Academy of Clinical Electrodiagnosis and Penn Neuromuscular Diagnostics.
In 1996, Mr. Zaucha was named Civic Leader of the Year in Indiana County. He received the Benjamin Rush Medical Society Award in 1999. In 2003, he was elected to IUP Sports Hall of Fame and in 2007 received the Distinguished Alumni award at Slippery Rock University.
Throughout his career, Zaucha has attempted to give back to Indiana County where he and his wife Alice have chosen to raise their family, children Jennifer, Tom, Jonathan, and Stephanie.
His accomplishments include the construction of the White Township Recreation Center/ S&T Ice Arena, the development of the 119 Professional Center, Old Boro Hall and the Atrium. He was President of the Foundation for IUP in 1997 and co-chaired an IUP Capital Campaign.
