Stahura was a founding director and President of First Federal Savings & Loan, which is now Indiana First Bank.  He was President of the Indiana Thrift Corporation.  Andrew Stabura was also a longtime member of the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce and president in 1965.  He was an Indiana Area School District school board member and President during the 1960s.  Stahura was a member of the Lions, Moose, Elks, St. Bernard's Knights of Columbus, and founding member of The Allied Club. He was also a member of the Indiana Football Boosters and a member of the Indiana Volunteer Fire Department. He helped to organize the Ward Baseball League as well as St. Bernard baseball.
He was married to Mary Tate Stahura, who passed away in 1958. He then married Florence Dougherty. He had four sons, 12 grandchildren, plus a number of great grandchildren.
