ANDREW J. KUZNESKI, JR.

Andrew J. Kuzneski, Jr. was born in Indiana in 1953 and remained a lifelong resident of Indiana County until he died in 2007. He started his business, Kuzneski Financial Group, in 1966 and was the face, name and personality behind the business. It is now located in Indiana and Pittsburgh and remains in the family.
 
A highly successful businessman, Kuzneski loved Indiana County and committed much of his life improving the community and helping others through his time and generosity.     
 
Kuzneski served continuously on the Visiting Nurses Association Board of Directors, beginning with the Charter Board in 1970. He served several terms as President of that Board and was also President of the VNA/Hospice Foundation Board. For almost 40 years, the VNA benefited from his steady leadership and guidance.
 
Kuzneski was on the Board of Directors of the Kuzneski Agency, First Commonwealth Insurance Agency, and the Delaware National Bank Insurance Agency. He was chairman of the Board of Directors for First National Bank of Spangler, Merchant’s Bank of Shenandoah, and Chairman of the Board of the Indiana County Commissioners.

He was past President of the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce (1993-1994), and was a former Board of Directors member. He served on the Board of Directors for the Blairsville Workman Mutual Aid Society. He was a past President of the Indiana Rotary Club, former director of the Indiana County Sheltered Workshop. Kuzneski was also inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame in 1989 and was a Trustee of the Indiana Booster Club.
 
Kuzneski was a member of the Pennsylvania Bankers Association, American Bankers Association, and Community Bankers Association of Pennsylvania.
 
He was also a member of the Indiana Country Club, American Legion, Historical and Genealogical Society of Indiana County, and Mental Health Association of Indiana County, along with many boards in the Pittsburgh region. It was said that he served on 29 different boards at one time.
