Sydney Bower

Having joined the office Summer 2023, Sydney is excited to expand the Chamber’s media outreach and get to know the local community by highlighting the beauty of Indiana County and its members through a new lens.

Spending the last half of her childhood in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, Sydney has always understood the importance of communication within rural areas and the impact that small businesses have within a community. Sydney is a 2021 graduate of Selinsgrove Area Highschool, and she is now proudly a full-time resident of Indiana.

Sydney is studying Political Science at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a minor in Pre-Law. She plans to continue her education after her bachelor’s degree by attending law school. During her time at IUP, Sydney merged her love for music and leadership by becoming the Night Producer at the college radio station for the Spring semester of 2022 until the Spring semester of 2023.



In her free time, Sydney enjoys the alternative underground music scene and the arts. When she’s not attending classes or at work, you can find her at a local venue or painting. A fun fact about Sydney is she has a black cat named ‘Igor’ after the iconic horror henchman from Frankenstein (1931). Sydney also has a passion for indoor plant keeping. Her biggest obstacle being Igor who, coincidentally, has a strong passion for eating indoor plants.
